Júlia Calvet
Júlia Calvet is currently undertaking her doctoral studies in the Department of English and Linguistics at the University of Lleida (UdL). She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English Studies (Universitat de Lleida) and she specialised in the teaching of foreign languages, obtaining a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (Màster Oficial en Formació del Professorat de Secundària i Batxillerat, Formació Professional i Ensenyament d’Idiomes, Universitat de Lleida). In November 2020, she was awarded a predoctoral scholarship by the University of Lleida and now she is member of the project LIDISELF: “Development of disciplinary literacies in English as a lingua franca at university”. Her thesis revolves around ideologies and attitudes towards English as a lingua franca in higher education.
Her research interests are non-native English speaking teachers and English as a Lingua Franca in EFL, ESP and EMI settings.
